HM model air jet burner – Basic Introduction

The price of diesel oil is very expensive, recently. The heavy oil is gradually applied for each sector to reduce the fuel cost. The viscosity of heavy oil is very dense in the area of South-East Asia. There are many difficult problems for the combustion of high pressure mechanical atomization, as follows.

1. Atomization is poor for high viscosity oil ignited in high pressure mechanical burner. Combustion flame is unstable. High air pollution and carbon deposition are produced, together.

2. The preheated temperature is necessarily higher than 110°C for the high viscosity oil. The oil and water are often segregated for the fuel oil with high water concentration. It is hard to maintain smooth combustion. Oil pump is destroyed in probability.

3. Ignition failure is in probability.

The phenomena caused by the poor quality fuel oil made many troubles for the boiler makers and users. Especially for heavy oil made in China, people are sometimes at a loss what to do mad to deal with a contingency.

Air atomization burner was one of the main Wu-Fung products for post three decades. HM model burner is presented to the public based upon Wu-Fung cost contribution on combustion of dense viscosity and poor quality heavy oil in South-East Asia.

HM burner adopted the low pressure air atomization for combustion. Fuel oil and air were transported to the nozzle chamber of burner in process of completely mixing. And then the droplets of atomization oil spread to the combustion chamber from the multi-port nozzle of burner and got the fast mixing with the combustion air.
